The Global Voices Journal for Citizen Media is a multilingual, bi-annual, open access publication that aims at decentralizing the flow of information, by showcasing the work done by researchers not only in the main knowledge centers, but also from developing nations, working as a bridge between scholars all over the world
The Global Voices Journal also introduces an innovative process of collaborative selection of articles to be published, with a direct choice from our readers and community members. Readers are given a period to vote for the most interesting articles on the comments section of each post. The most voted are published on the journal’s website. This way, each new issue is the result of the integration between academic work and participative media.
Paper submission for the next issue will be open soon.

Lingua co-editor for Global Voices in Portuguese. Brazilian journalist, currently studying Media and Political Communication at the Free University of Berlin. I'm passionate about educational broadcasting. Currently doing research on citizen media and environmental reporting.
I have been exposed to different cultures and environments over the years, having lived in 4 countries and 10 cities. So, I have grown to appreciate the way one can think globally while behaving locally! And I appreciate that.
Excited about the idea of combining research with citizen media? Would you like to join GV journal as a new edito?
